I’ve been working on a lot of projects lately, so I paused this course for a moment.

Today, I came back and picked up where I left off. I learned a lot of things—some were brand new, while others were good refreshers.

I focused on dependent prepositions, such as:

• Increase IN
• Rely ON
• Listen TO
• Depend ON

Dependent prepositions are prepositions that naturally follow specific verbs, nouns, or adjectives to connect them to an object.

For example, we cannot say:

• I’m listening podcasts. ❌
• It depends the schedule. ❌

Instead, we say:

• I’m listening to podcasts. ✅
• It depends on the schedule. ✅

There are a lot of dependent prepositions out there. I know I can’t memorize all of them at once, but I believe I’ll master them brick by brick through regular practice.
