English for IT 1

Being able to speak and understand English is a good thing.

But sometimes, it’s not only about knowing English, it’s about being able to understand the technical words and expressions in your domain.

In order to have a better vocabulary in IT English, I decided to start the course English For IT 1 proposed by Cisco Networking Academy

Here’s where I am at right now :

Through this I learned :

• The passive voice
• Relative pronouns
• New vocabulary

New vocabulary

• A Detractor : A customer who had a bad experience with a product

• User Experience (UX) : A personal experience the user has while using the product’s interface

• NPS : Which stands for Net Promoter Score, a key indicator of customer satisfaction

That course is going to be incredible!
